Our Friday vacation day rocked! We slept a tiny bit late and then got coffee. Maddie loves to ride along on weekend Starbucks rides. Then we had breakfast on the patio and then headed out to walk the course for my 8k run. It was so fun. We were right downtown and moved at a reasonable pace, despite being in the heart of lunch hour.
It starts in "Riverfront Park" which I think is a new made-up part of Denver that surrounds Confluence Park and basically is a dog walk area for all the million dollar brand new lofts in the area. Then it heads up 20th past the stadium and you head over the 17th. Go down there and around some big buildings to Pearl, wind back to 15th and head back. You jump on the Cherry Creek bike trail at Larimer. It is a nice course. We easily walked it in an hour and 20 minutes, so I am hoping to run it in around 50 minutes. It is three weeks from tomorrow.
After the walk we hit balls and then did abs and stretches for about an hour. It was a really good workout day. Then we showered, grilled out and watched a movie. Very nice day.
Today I had pilates and pump. Tim hit balls at the driving range and then we got coffee. We did some yardwork and now we are getting ready to head out for our first couples league golf evening. It is a 2-person scramble so we are really excited!! Too bad the afternoon clouds are rolling in. I hope they hold off until tomorrow.

Sounds like a fun route for the 8K!
how flat was it?
Actually the first half was pretty uphill. A LONG slow uphill climb!
